My recent encounter with this real estate agency left me utterly disappointed and unwilling to ever consider their services again. It was my first time interacting with this agency, and sadly, it turned out to be an incredibly negative experience. From the moment we arrived late for our scheduled visit, the situation spiraled out of control due to the unprofessionalism and lack of empathy displayed by the agency's representatives.
To begin with, I must acknowledge that our tardiness was entirely our fault. We miscalculated the bus route, assuming it would take us up the mountain past the highway in Basurto. When the male agent who set up the appointment called us, he displayed politeness and understanding, which seemed to align with the positive reviews we had read about him. We promptly informed him of our delay, assuring him that we would be there shortly.
However, the situation took a turn for the worse when the agent who was already waiting at the apartment called us just ten minutes later. Despite our apology and explanation that we would be there in five minutes, she responded with unnecessary hostility. Her remark, "we have been waiting here 20 minutes already," followed by abruptly hanging up, was entirely uncalled for.
Upon our arrival, we noticed two individuals standing in front of the building, and I politely inquired if they were the ones we were supposed to meet. Instead of responding with a simple "yes" and asking if everything was alright, the elderly blonde agent aggressively shouted at my wife and me, saying, "we have been waiting for 30 minutes. I had to run from my last appointment to be here at 11:00 am on the dot." This abrupt outburst left me in a state of disbelief.
Rather than apologizing for the inconvenience caused, the agent continued to show hostility. In a matter-of-fact manner, I expressed my frustration, saying, "you know, we've come to give you money," but before I could continue, she grew even more upset. At that point, my wife and I felt disrespected and decided to leave. It's worth noting that had she taken a more understanding approach, inquiring about the reasons for our lateness instead of launching an attack from the beginning, we might have been inclined to proceed with signing for a new home that day.
Overall, my experience with this Bilbao real estate agency was profoundly disappointing. The lack of professionalism, empathy, and courtesy displayed by the agents we interacted with was simply unacceptable. As a result, I cannot recommend this agency to anyone in search of reliable and respectful real estate services. It's crucial for an agency to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere, fostering trust between clients and agents. Unfortunately, this agency failed to meet even the most basic expectations in this regard.
