Geography
Integrated into the Bajo Maestrazgo region, it is located 69 kilometers from the provincial capital. The municipal area is crossed by the Mediterranean motorway and the N-340 national highway, between pK 1042 and 1048, as well as by a local road that connects with Cálig. The relief of the municipality is defined by a coastal plain known as Plana de Benicarló, where the River Sec and some ravines that flow into the Mediterranean Sea, such as the Rambla de Alcalá, flow through. The Coll de la Malea de Març (177 metres), the Coll de la Tossa (166 m.a.s.l.) and the Puig de la Nau (162 m.a.s.l.) are the most notable elevations.
